i'm miranda savioli with today's health news.since january, h-five-n-two bird flu has been found in some us commercial turkey flocks,but a recent case in wisconsin marked the first time the virus has come to americanchickens. the chicago tribune reports that around twenty thousand chickens have alreadydied from the virus, and that another one hundred eighty thousand are to be culled toprevent further spread of h5n2. however, officials say it's unlikely that any of the outbreakswill affect retail prices domestically. according to the tribune, the wisconsin department ofhealth services is getting in touch with workers who may have been exposed as a precautionarymeasure, but so far no human cases have been reported and h5n2 does not normally infecthumans.
