waste generation everywhere is growing andif we aren't careful it could lead to serious health, safety, and environmental consequences. the biggest problem with our waste is thatit doesn't always end up where it's supposed to be. even if you put it in the garbage or recycleit, it doesn't mean that it's always going to end up in the landfill or at the recyclingplant. garbage ends up in our lakes, rivers, andoceans all the time. making small changes in all areas of our livescan make a huge impact. it's about baby steps.


each piece of waste prevented is a small victory. once you get comfortable with the basics ofzero waste it becomes a lot easier to do things like shop in bulk. it won't be long before you see the financialbenefits, time savings, and health benefits of going zero waste. going zero waste is a learning process andit can't happen over night. try and let go of judgements and frustrationswhile you're on this journey, it will make it easier. focus on your impact and other's will follow.
