kitchen ventilation
hi everybody, i'm isaac i may bereviewing the prov line of range hoods and they come in a lot of differentsizes starting the smallest is thirty inches and they go all the way to sixty inchesin different increments this one is the forty eight-inch modelthe thing that changes in those models from thirty all the way up to sixtythe number of halogen bulbs and baffle filters and this one as you see as the bafflefilters and three halogen bulbs what doesn't change is the depth and theheight. that stays consistent all the
way through all of the models now these can be mounted under cabinetor on the wall with the chimney extension they also because of their when theymade these they made them with a double wall and stainless steel construction all theway around so they worked well outside like anoutdoor kitchen or barbeque even in humid environments tohold up their free-spirited if one hundred-percent stainless steel and it'sgot a nice brushed finish. it's a true
seamless stainless steel design. welded and handfinished particularly on these corners. when it's hanging on awall looks like one piece stainless steel. onething they did also is they've made this a sturdier construction because and they've welded and glued all of the welds so that makes it a better constructionthan their competitors so the halogen bulbs are reallybright and really easy to take in and out
as you can see unscrew it. standard sizeso can get them anywhere you can turn them on and off right here they're fully dim-able the fan turns on and off right here and also you can control...it's a variable speed fan so you can control it with that knob.
so one really nice feature about theblowers that it has a heat sensor and if the surface heat reaches one hundred eighty degrees andthe fan is already on it will adjust itself. that'sactually a pretty nice feature and then here you have your on and off switch for your heatlamps very simple interface not confusing at all. so, another thing that is pretty neat about this range hood is that it will work with any ul
listed blower. and i've got one right over here this one is a sixteen hundred cfm blower and uh... the thing like i said that is great about theseis it will work with any ul listed blower our and so that means that it can work local, like right inside the range hood thatyou can install this right inside this range hood. or you can have it installed in-line, like withthe other duct work in your house or on the roof. and it'll all work... allthose options work with this control right here.
important note that one of theinstallation requirements for this arrangement is that you need to have teninch ducting. at least ten inch ducting in order for the blower and the heat sensor and all thecontrols to work properly so the baffle filters on these are reallynice. they're stainless steel construction and they catch your grease. so, eventually they're going to get dirty but if they do its not a big dealbecause they slide out just like that and once you've got them outyou can put them in the dishwasher and they get clean they're really heavy duty
like i said, stainless steel so they're goingto last you a really long time the installation on these hoods is really easy.you don;t have to have professional experience to do it. it will takeabout an hour. if you get one of the bigger ones you might want to have a friend help you overall i think it's a great value. i hope this was helpful. thanks for watching.
