grocery store failed an inspection. the west end grocery on burnett road in cocoa serves fried chicken and other foods that come under state an affidavit said the restaurant failed inspections twice last year.


it says both times the owner tried to bribe the inspector. we wanted to talk to mr. abdu but customers say he left and locked the door. customers were out of luck. wrong if trying to do that. i know that. fooling himself.


that's all i know. the report says the first time the store failed an inspection he approached the inspector in his vehicle in the parking lot and handed him a $50 bill. the report says the store failed another inspection a few months


later and this time he gave the same inspector $80. it says in both cases he later admitted to the parnt payments during recorded phone calls. customer clarence patterson says he's had no problems with the food or the store. he is a real nice guy.


but, you know, he's all right. but like i said i do not like what i heard had this morning. but patterson thinks he may have fallen on hard times. i feel sorry for him. he is charged with bribery of a public official and been released on bail after his
