recipes homemade dog food
i started Cooking, Recipes for my dog a while ago. maybe six months ago. thanks to a friend of mine who gave me the idea. thanks, angie and the reason why i did it is twofold: the first one is the financial reason if you have a pet you probably know that feeding it quality diet is pretty expensive and it adds up. i switched from commercial dog food which was probably around 100 dollars per month to Cooking, Recipes on my own for my dog which cost me around $25 for so and the second reason i started Cooking, Recipes for my dog is the health factor. i personally don't trust
those companies that produce dog food commercial dog food because well, it's processed foods, and it's not very clear. what's in it. there's chemical in it there's preservatives in it lots of ingredients are also not very well explained it makes you believe that it's kind of you know fresh meat real chicken etc, but at the end of the day it's dry food it's just you know it looks like cardboard, and it probably tastes like cardboard and the nutrients are probably not that great huh, it's chicken come on we have chicken i swear even if you ask your vet which is the best commercial food for your dog
every pet will give you different brands sometimes they sell it themselves because they want to be money which is understandable, but it's not always in the best interest of your dog i'm not saying that the vets are not honest. i think they are i think they truly believe that what they're selling is the best, but i think personally that offering fresh food is always always better than serving processed food it's true for humans, and it's true for dogs dogs can get sick - they get cancer too - and you know i? personally try to eat healthy, and i want my dog to have a happy and long life so i'm going to make sure that my dog will eat healthy
i cook for a whole week and i store the food in big yogurt pots in the freezer while i was feeding this processed food dry food being you know even from expensive brands like royal canin or eukanuba and all the other ones that i tried and can't even remember my dog sometimes who refused to eat altogether or she would eat you know kind of looking at the food and saying hey, wtf? still again cardboard. thank you very much but since i'm feeding her the food that i'm Cooking, Recipes for her, she's jumping, she's happy she's really looking forward to her meals. you know dogs can't talk but you can tell that obviously they don't feel like eating dry food for the rest of their lives
these are my personal beliefs. i don't want to tell you anything i'm just saying that you can save money and you can probably have your pet live a healthier life and if you you know if you cook yourself, and if you went to buy whatever brand that so please check the link below i also put an interview with a veterinarian who is explaining exactly how to read labels on commercial dog foods to make sure that you're not being scammed because sometimes if you don't read them correctly then you might think it's healthier than it actually is. here goes my recipe: you need ground beef chicken insides, it's called moyeja here in panama, i put chayote as a green vegetable. it's also called mexican squash or summer squash i put carrots, i put lentils and rice (check for detailed instructions below!)
all these ingredients are dirt cheap here in panama as i said at the beginning of my video 25 bucks per month tops is what i'm spending on food for my dog. it's nothing it's really nothing obviously this is not the only recipe that you can cook you can substitute the chayote for broccoli or you know add more veggies to it if you want to i perceive mix two kinds of meat just because a live variety for my dog but it doesn't mean that you have to do this you can also feed cow liver , chicken liver mix it up if you want to and whenever you're in doubt just ask your veterinarian the recipe i'm giving you, i discussed with my veterinarian she thinks is cool, and my dog is healthy and happy so no reason not to feed it to her and
so yeah, but it's by no means the only recipe please make sure to check out the list i put below of ingredients, not to feed to your dog because some human foods are actually dangerous for dogs, for example raisins, onions and there's a bunch of other stuff that you cannot feed your dog. so make sure to do that also, please don't put any condiments in the food table don't need extra salt or anything like that then so yes try it out and let me know how it goes and if you like this video and the recipe please give it a thumbs up and share it
