hey everybody, i'm going to show you todayhow to very easily cook quinoa which has become quite popular. it is a very healthy grainfrom south america. it is full of protein, and it is gluten free! so it is a great substitutefor rice and other starches. a couple of really easy steps to make a reallygreat tasting quinoa and i'm also going to share with you some of my favorite recipesthat i use quinoa in. for this recipe, what you will need is one and a half cups of quinoa.i have used half a cube of vegetable stock and mixing it into two cups of boiling water. one of the key things to make a great tastingquinoa is to give it a good rinse in a fine strainer because the outer shell is actuallyquite bitter but if you give it a good rinse

for a few minutes then you will get rid ofthat bitter taste. now i'm going to add my two cups of vegetablebroth to my saucepan. and my one and a half cups of rinsed quinoa. and we're going to bring this over to ourstove and cook it on high until it comes to a boil. now that the quinoa has come to aboil we will turn the heat right down to low and just cover it with a lid and let it simmerfor 15 minutes. now we will turn the heat off and let it sitfor 5 minutes. we will take it off the stove and put it into a bowl. and then just fluffit a bit with a fork. it smells so good, it's a really nutty tasting grain and again, gluten-freeand super high in protein.

so i want to share with you guys a few ofmy favorite recipes and will also share in the description and links four of my favoriterecipes which include quinoa and black beans , quinoa black bean burgers which is absolutelydelicious, mediterranean quinoa salad and turkey and quinoa meatloaf. my four favorites. it's perfect as a side dish but you can makeso many things with it. such a healthy alternative and as you can see really easy to make. italways turns out better for me than my rice does. so, i think your family will enjoy it andhope you enjoyed the recipe.
