>>howard:we’re all guilty of it, we open a bag of frozen veggies, use just what we need andtoss the rest back in the freezer. this happens over and over until one day wediscover we have a whole “hodge podge” of veggies in the freezer. well, today, we're gonna show you how to turnthem into a warm-ya-up soup that tastes like you picked the veggies right from the field. in a large soup pot, we combine some beefbroth (or, you can use chicken stock), crushed tomatoes and a few seasonings. this is the base for our soup.

now it's time to turn to all those veggiesin our freezer. we want to add a total of 7 to 8 cups. and the best part: we can mix and match whateverwe have on hand. we can use anything from mixed veggies tobroccoli florets, corn, carrots, beans ... even chopped spinach. you could also add some cooked chicken, hamor roast beef. whatever you use, it's a good idea to makesure that everything’s bite-sized so they're easy to eat. once this comes to a boil, we’ll let itsimmer until everything is heated through.

that's it. in just 15 minutes, you'll have a steamy hotveggie soup that is loaded with homemade goodness. i hope you'll go online and get our recipefor our hodge podge chowder so you can cross two things off your to-dolist: making dinner and making room in your freezer forlots of new stuff. i'm howard in the mr. food test kitchen, whereevery day we're looking for an easier way for you to say … "ooh it's so good!!â®"
