black beans, they're high in fiber protein potassium and iron the problem though is if you get them in a can they're also high in sodium which can be problematic if you have hypertension or high blood pressure the alternative though is you can buy them dried but then you actually have to soak them for up to 24 hours before you can cook with them what if i said there was a third option one in which you're actually using dried beans but have them cooked and ready to serve in less than an hour. well, my name is jose and in this video i'm going to show you how to do just that


so i've gone ahead and actually measured out half a cup of black beans if you're using food scale was translates to 100 grams so what you want to do is take black beans? throw them into a pressure cooker. i've already added 2 cups of water so if you're keeping count that's a one to four ratio of beans to water you want throw them in put the lid on make sure that it's sealed then what you want to do is me i have a button here for beans but if you don't all you basically want to do is just make sure it's on high pressure for 40 minutes
