recipe for chicken soup in a crock pot

you're gonna need a cupof heavy whipping cream. so, one of these littlehalf-pints is a cup. i will be putting that in there. you'll need some kale. i only use one entire potato. some people put more. some people put two and three potatoes. to me, it's too much potato. i put half an onion, lowsodium chicken broth,


a little bit of garlic. you should also add twotablespoons of flour, just to thicken up the soup a little bit. i don't have any flour, so that's okay. it's still good if you don't have flour. the potato, when it starts to soften up, i think thickens it,as well, a little bit. what i'm gonna do first is, now i'm going to brown the sausage.


we're gonna throw thatinto the slow cooker, and i will, in the comments,leave you the exact recipe for the soup, so you guys have it. this is gonna go in last. what we will put inwith the cooked sausage, i will cut up the potato,i will throw that in there, i will put the chicken broth in there so they can start boiling. i will also add the onion now,


and a little bit of the garlic now. so, i will let these itemshere simmer for a little while. when the soup is almostready to go, i will add the cream and the kale at the end. now that i have my sausage all browned up, i'm going to place it in the crock pot. just like that. i do have my crock pot on high. you see, i have all the sausage in there.


now i'm gonna add the chicken broth. the entire thing, so this is 32 ounces. now two tablespoons of garlic. and mix that in there. i'm gonna add my potatoes. you're going to let this, oops i dropped one. you're going to let this cook in the slow cookerfor three to four hours


on high. if you want to do it on low, it's gonna be four to five hours. so in here, we have the sausage, garlic, the chicken broth, and the potatoes. i'm also gonna add the onions. onion. we have our potatoes, we have our sausage. we have garlic, andonions, and chicken broth,


and now i let this simmer forthree to four hours on high. you want to make sure youwash your kale really good. and you're gonna cut it, andi use the kitchen scissors. and i just cut that kale up, and just throw it right into the pot. then you're gonna add yourone cup, or one half a pint, of your heavy cream. you mix it all in, and thisis what you're gonna have. in this point, you also wantto add your two tablespoons of


flour to thicken it up a little bit. if you'd like, you don't have to. and then, you let it cook onhigh for another 30 minutes.
